- Proper Storage: Store your knives in a knife block, magnetic strip, or sheath to protect the blades from damage.
- Hand Washing: Always wash your knives by hand with mild soap and water. Avoid putting them in the dishwasher, as the harsh environment can dull and damage the blades.
- Regular Honing: Use a honing rod regularly to maintain the edge of your knives between professional sharpening services.
- Cutting Surface: Use a wooden or plastic cutting board to prevent dulling your knives. Avoid cutting on hard surfaces like glass, granite, or metal.

I can sharpen more than just the top 10 knife brands. If your knives are on the list just give me a call. MAC Knives, Wüsthof, Zwilling J.A Henckels, Global Knives, Made In Cookware, Mercer Culinary, Korin, Shun, Victorinox and Cook Potluck. If yours aren’t listed just remember any quality knife can be sharpened.
Any of the main types of Knives sharpen up very nicely. Chef’s Knives, Utility Knives, Butcher’s Knives, Carving Knives, Steak Knives, Paring Knives, Boning Knives, Fillet Knives, Peeling Knives, Fluting Knives, Trimming Knives and Meat Cleavers.
The small painted knives normally do not get very sharp. I can also sharpen ceramic knives, but they count as three knives because they take three times as long and ruin the sanding belts.
